Welcome to Balfron Health Centre

We have our final Flu Clinic this Saturday 31st October at Balfron High School in the morning. This clinic is for the Over 65 Year Olds and the At Risk 18 - 64 year olds.
We have just secured more vaccines for the at risk 18 - 64 year olds.
Can all eligible patients who have not yet received their Flu Vaccine call the surgery on 01360 4405154 and you will be given an allocated appointment time – please try to arrive as close to this time as possible, not too early and not late.
DO NOT come to the surgery for your immunisation unless this has been agreed by practice staff. You should enter the building at the Atrium doors, which are located to the right of the main entrance doors. Car parking is available at the High School.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we ask that you attend alone, unless you require assistance from a friend or family member.
If you feel unwell on the day of your appointment OR if a member of your household displays symptoms of Covid-19 OR if you have had recent contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19, please DO NOT ATTEND your allocated appointment. Let the practice know so that we can rearrange your appointment for you. (Symptoms of Covid-19 = new persistent cough OR raised temperature (37.8 or above) OR loss of taste or smell)
Please bring a face covering or mask to wear when you are inside the building.
You will be asked to queue STANDING, and 2m apart from other patients. This may be for several minutes. If you are unable to do this, please let our admin staff know when you make your appointment so an alternative arrangement can be made. The vaccine is given in your upper arm. Please come wearing a short sleeved, or loose sleeved top which can be easily rolled up to make it easy for our clinicians to immunise you quickly. You will be asked to remove your coat and any additional layers while you are waiting to be immunised.
We would appreciate it if you could leave the building swiftly after your immunisation, assuming you feel well. Should you feel unwell after receiving your immunisation, please let a member of staff know ASAP.
Please note that the High School Atrium area will receive a deep clean prior to each flu clinic being held and after and there will be hand sanitiser available on entry and exit to the building.

Morning Surgery

All appointments will be over the telephone or through video link using Near Me (see below for instructions on how to use this service). If, after that conversation with a GP, they want to see you the GP will arrange for a time for you to come into the surgery. If coming into the surgery please can you come alone or if help is required bring only one other person with you.

Open access Monday   – Friday 8.30am -10am

We are running an Open Access Surgery every morning but instead of coming into the surgery we ask you to call us on 01360 440515 between 8.30am & 10am and you will be asked by our Reception Team why you are calling. They will either put you down for a call back that morning or arrange an afternoon appointment time for you. Although we endeavour to call patients as quickly as we can, on busy days you may need to wait some time.

Afternoon Surgery

(Appointments only) Monday – Friday afternoons 2.30pm - 5pm

You can book a telephone or Near Me Video appointment for a specific time and doctor in the afternoons via reception or online when available.

Video Consultations

We are now able to offer a video consultation with our GPs. If this form of consultation is required the GP will organise this directly with you. Please follow the instructions in the link on how to access this service:
